ABOUT TONIGHT'S FILM

A surreal fairytale directed by Francesco Stefani and released in 1957, produced in East Germany at the height of the Cold War. The film centers on the world’s first communist princess and unfolds as a nightmarish fantasy populated by a bizarre talking fish and a malevolent dwarf—figures that went on to haunt the dreams of generations of children from the mid-1960s onward.

ABOUT THE FILM CLUB

The FILM CLUB has been hosting film screenings inside the GARAGE for as long as the building has stood.

Every Wednesday, the group of film lovers transforms the concert hall into a veritable cinema and shows some of the very best (and sometimes rare) films from around the world.

The theme changes continuously, and this time it is all about Christmas! Or is it? Confused? Then attend the screening!The title of the event is only a hint about the day's movie, because we must not reveal the real one.

So prepare to be surprised, excited, provoked and enriched.THE FILM CLUB wants to invite both Danish-speaking and English-speaking city dwellers. Therefore the subtitles of the film screenings are always in English, just as THE FILM CLUB will initially give a short introduction in English.

As standard, we open the doors at 19.00 and begin the screening at 19.30.

Buy a beer/water or popcorn at the bar and settle into your seat.
