ABOUT TONIGHT'S FILM

Monster movies are a staple of classic B movies. Today's movie is a modern homage to all the classic B-movies, as well as Monty Python and Guy Maddin. It follows an eccentric captain determined to avenge his late father, killed by a devious sea monster.

Shot on a budget less than $10.000 and on an old DLSR Camera it is truly a LOW budget movie. But what the movie production might lack in funds and professional equipment it makes up with witty humor and genius special effects.

Monsterfilm er en fast bestanddel af de klassiske B-film. Dagens film er en moderne hyldest til både de klassiske B-film samt Monty Python og Guy Maddin. Den følger en excentrisk kaptajn, som er fast besluttet på at hævne sin afdøde far, der blev dræbt af et udspekuleret havuhyre.

Filmen er optaget med et budget på under 10.000 dollars og med et gammelt DSLR-kamera, så den er en ægte lavbudgetfilm. Men det, produktionen måske mangler i økonomiske midler og professionelt udstyr, opvejer den med skæv humor og geniale special effects.

ABOUT THE FILM CLUB

The FILM CLUB has been hosting film screenings inside the GARAGE for as long as the building has stood.

Every Wednesday, the group of film lovers transforms the concert hall into a veritable cinema and shows some of the very best (and sometimes rare) films from around the world.

The theme changes continuously, and this time it is all about Christmas! Or is it? Confused? Then attend the screening!The title of the event is only a hint about the day's movie, because we must not reveal the real one.

So prepare to be surprised, excited, provoked and enriched.THE FILM CLUB wants to invite both Danish-speaking and English-speaking city dwellers. Therefore the subtitles of the film screenings are always in English, just as THE FILM CLUB will initially give a short introduction in English.

As standard, we open the doors at 19.00 and begin the screening at 19.30.

Buy a beer/water or popcorn at the bar and settle into your seat.
