ABOUT TONIGHT'S FILM

For our second screening we are going all the way back to the roots of monster movies. Long before monsters became pop-culture icons, this is what inspired so many other classics that follow. This German expressionist classic conjures up a tantalizing world of horror and mystique, as we delve into the early depictions of what we all know and love from monster movies.

Join us in the second of two movie screenings all about monsters at the Filmclub in URBAN 13.

Til vores anden filmvisning går vi helt tilbage til monsterfilmens rødder. Længe før monstre blev popkulturelle ikoner, var det denne film, der inspirerede mange af de klassikere, som fulgte efter. Denne tyske ekspressionistiske klassiker fremmaner en dragende verden af horror og mystik, mens vi dykker ned i de tidligste skildringer af de monstre, vi kender og elsker i dag.

ABOUT THE FILM CLUB

The FILM CLUB has been hosting film screenings inside the GARAGE for as long as the building has stood.

Every Wednesday, the group of film lovers transforms the concert hall into a veritable cinema and shows some of the very best (and sometimes rare) films from around the world.

The theme changes continuously, and this time it is all about Christmas! Or is it? Confused? Then attend the screening!The title of the event is only a hint about the day's movie, because we must not reveal the real one.

So prepare to be surprised, excited, provoked and enriched.THE FILM CLUB wants to invite both Danish-speaking and English-speaking city dwellers. Therefore the subtitles of the film screenings are always in English, just as THE FILM CLUB will initially give a short introduction in English.

As standard, we open the doors at 19.00 and begin the screening at 19.30.

Buy a beer/water or popcorn at the bar and settle into your seat.
