About tonight's film (Danish below)

Taking on sci-fi as a genre is a daunting task. It is as diverse as the future and past themselves - almost at least. Nonetheless, we kick-off 2023 with a sci-fi series! 

This week we're taking off the paradoxical theme of time travel. In the 2007 Spanish time-thriller by Nacho Vigalondo we follow Hectór in a hectic day of recurrence. And as it goes with time travel Hectór’s day is about to get complicated. 

Hectór wakes up one morning in his home he is renovating with his wife, when a confusing sighting upends his life. He must make quick decisions that have long lasting consequences. 

Roger Ebert once described the film as chess with nudity and violence - We don't know how you play chess, but it sounds extraordinary and exiting to us. We hope you'll join us for a riveting film to start out the next season

Om aftenens film 

Sci-fi er en vanskelig genre holde fat om - den er så mangefacetteret som fremtiden og fortiden til sammen - næsten i hvert fald. Ikke desto mindre sparker vi 2023 med en sci-fi serie! 

Den første uge starter vi med det paradoksale tema: Tidsrejser. I Nacho Vigalondos tids-thriller fra 2007 følger vi Hectór gennem en hektisk dag fuld af gentagelser. Og som det er med tidsrejser bliver Hectórs dag hurtigt meget kompliceret. 

Hector vågner op i sit hjem, han er ved at renovere med sin kone, da en mystisk hændelse vender op og ned på hans liv. Han må hurtigt tage beslutninger, der får vidtrækkende konsekvenser. 

Roger Ebert har sagt, at filmen er som skak med nøgenhed og vold. Vi ved ikke hvordan I spiller skak, men vi synes det lyder som noget udover normalen.
