Love, joy, longing, sexuality and fragility are the themes of tonight's musicians. Kedde is a Danish pop artist on the way to the stars, while Basit is joining the stage, all the way from the USA.

Basit [NG/US]

Basit er en non-binær nigeriansk-amerikansk performancekunstner, sanger/sangskriver, musiker og skuespiller. Deres kreative praksis er
forankret i at dyrke radikal empati, omfavne sårbarhed og unikke udtryk, og at finde kraft og styrke i tilværelsen.

Deres kunst er dyrket ud fra deres passion for at fortælle historier og kaste lys over perspektiver, som ofte forsømmes.

Basits musik har været en helbredende forbindelsesportal for folk med forskellig baggrund, der inviterer lyttere til at få adgang til temaer om kærlighed, længsel, glæde og seksualitet. Basits arbejde hylder og legemliggør kompleksiteten og fylden af den menneskelige oplevelse.

Kedde

Kedde er et sønderjysk pop-projekt, der forsøger at sætte ord og lyd til den skrøbelige mands/persons eksistens og hvordan man som sådan et menneske, kan tage ejerskab over det.

Han har, igennem sine tidlige teenageår, skrevet sange og arbejdet på at perfektionere sin lyd. Som tidligere elev på musikuddannelsen MGK, har han dagligt dyrket musikteorien, samt det, at blive kastet ud i alle former og nuancer af musik.

Kedde er nu klar med et live-set, der giver et indblik i hans artistiske udtryk, og hvad fremtiden har at byde på. Hans lydunivers er baseret på personlige oplevelser, skrevet i dybfølte, jordnære tekster, som skærer helt ind i hjertet, men byder også på et fængende omkvæd, med plads til at lege og fylde rummet ud. Alt sammen båret af hans kraftfulde stemme, der får de to verdener til at smelte sammen, og skabe essensen af Kedde.

Basit [NG/US]

Basit is a non-binary Black, Nigerian-American performance artist, singer/songwriter, musician, and actor. Their creative practices are rooted in cultivating radical empathy, embracing vulnerability and unique expression, and finding power and strength in existence.

Their art is cultivated from their passion for telling stories, and shedding light on perspectives that are often neglected. Basit’s unique lived experiences and desire to honor their sacred past, present and future inform their artistry and further explore the pluralities of identity.

Basit’s music has been a healing portal of connection for folks of various backgrounds inviting listeners to access themes of love, longing, joy, and sexuality. Basit’s work celebrates and embodies the complexities and fullness of the human experience.

Kedde

Kedde is a South Jutland pop project that tries to put words and sound to the existence of the fragile man/person and how one, as such a person, can take ownership of it.

Throughout his early teenage years, he has been writing songs and working on perfecting his sound. As a former student at the music education program MGK, he has cultivated music theory on a daily basis, as well as being thrown into all forms and nuances of music.

Kedde is now ready with a live set that gives an insight into his artistic expression and what the future has to offer. His sound universe is based on personal experiences, written in heartfelt, down-to-earth lyrics that cut right into the heart, but also on a catchy chorus, with room to play and fill the room. All carried by his powerful voice, which causes the two worlds to merge, creating the essence of Kedde.
